Leadership

Shawn grew up in Kailua (Kalaheo ‘98!!) and began following Jesus at UH while playing football for his beloved Rainbow Warriors. While pursuing his dream of professional football, Shawn discovered a greater dream: the dream God had for him as a husband, father, pastor and leader. Today, Shawn and his wife Sarah share a passion to connect people to God and to equip them to change their world.

Shawn is an ordained minister with a B.S. in Communications from the University of Hawaii, a certificate in Missions Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Masters in Christian Leadership from Grace College of Divinity. Shawn has over 17 years ministry experience, 10 of which were served at Manna Church in Fayetteville, NC, where he led a student ministry that impacted over 10,000 students every semester. In addition to his role as the Lead Pastor for Manna Church Hawaii, Shawn also serves as the Character Coach and Chaplain for the UH Rainbow Warriors football team.

Shawn and Sarah have five children: Azariah, Makoa, Isaac, Kale'a, and Liliana.
